Strengthen Day 19 - Thursday, March 17, 2022

Mar 17, 2022

I will set a sign among them, and I will send some of those who survive to the nations—to Tarshish, to the Libyans and Lydians (famous as archers), to Tubal and Greece, and to the distant islands that have not heard of my fame or seen my glory. They will proclaim my glory among the nations. Isaiah 66:19

Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again! John 3:3

With the announcement of “You are going to have a baby” comes much preparation and change. With natural birth, there are growing pains and a long nine months of waiting! There are baby showers, getting the room ready, and preparing sisters and brothers for a new addition to the family. This news not only impacts Mom, but also Dad, sisters, brothers, and grandparents.

I love how the Bible compares new life in Christ to the birth of a child. Just as a mother and family prepare, our Dayspring family is in a time of preparation! Our ultimate goal is to introduce Northwest Ohio to Christ. While we make our sanctuary new, strengthen our foundation, put leaders and ministry objectives in place, let’s also take this time to prepare our hearts in preparation and anticipation of the harvest. It may mean giving up, giving more, sharing, forgiving, caring, and loving. He will give us capacity as we grow, develop, and surrender to the Holy Spirit.

Same as with the birth of a baby, oh the joy of that new life when a sinner accepts Jesus as Savior. Luke 15:10 tells us “There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents!”

Let’s align our vessels both externally and internally, (pews and people) to show God’s fame and glory. Just like a Rubik’s Cube where all sides are aligned, God’s glory is seen when we are aligned as a church to His purpose.

Reflection:
Are you willing?
How can I partner with God to share the Good News?
What needs remodeled or transformed in my life?
