Isaiah 54:17

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.”

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me! This saying has a lot of holes in it. Often times the breaks and bruises of sticks and stones hurt far less than the wounds received from words spoken against us. Our words create worlds. The words we use can set people up, or tear people down. Words are weapons either against the enemy or against the person.

No weapon formed against you will prosper! No weapon means no weapon. Sticks, stones, and words might hit you, but they don’t have to kill you and stop you from walking in the victory and heritage the Lord has for you. Just because a word is lobbied against you does not mean it has to stick. Are you carrying around the wounds of words spoken to, about, over, or against you?

There is a better word and there is a better way! God declares there is a heritage for the servants of the Lord. A heritage that includes His righteousness and His blessing. Stop listening to the false accusations of the enemy, the limitations you put on yourself, and the hurt caused by the words of other people. God’s word spoken over your life is the key to walking in the freedom and victory Jesus promises! Remember, no weapon means no weapon!
